This publication is an experiment in form and content—can the two ever be truly independent? What happens if we take the form of a culturally familiar object and replace the content with a totally unrelated yet classically recognized subject? Would we "read" it still as Vogue? Would we actually have to read its content and text to accept it as a piece of science literature?

Appropriation is a powerful tool in graphic design and elsewhere. At Intentional Craft, we mostly appropriate visual forms because of the humor it can provide. But it also demonstrates how attached we are to visual forms and the meaning we assume upon them.
